For 50 years, The Jewish Home For the Elderly has been a first choice for families when there is a need to transition to long-term care, and consider us an extension of their own homes.
Families appreciate the 5-star quality rating, awarded from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services in recognition of the care and services we provide and we are proud of the exceptional professionals that make the difference in the lives of those in our trust.
Food prepared in Mozaic Jewish Home is Kosher style, and we offer a kosher Household (Kaufman). The Berkowitz Family Courtyard Café is strictly kosher. Kosher certification is through New England Kosher, Rabbi Mayer Abramowitz with approval of Vaad HaKashrus of Connecticut.
On-site rabbinical training programs are established with Yeshiva University and The Jewish Theological Seminary, Shabbat, and Holiday services are held in our beautiful synagogue and near Resident Households, enabling spiritual involvement for all.
Rabbi Stephen Shulman, the Director of Pastoral Services, is a key member of the Leadership Team and coordinates programs with community clergy to offer everyone opportunities for spiritual expression.
Rabbi Shulman can be reached at 203-396-1001 or sshulman@mozaicsl.org.
